Recovery Week and 9 Months

Hola a todos!

This week was an exciting one, we had lots and lots of canned soup, batidas (or smoothies), mashed potatoes and now I think Hermana Henry is craving anything crunchy. We stayed inside the apartment from Monday to Wednesday, but after that we were able to leave and have a more normal week. Luckily, Hermana Henry is feeling better and isn't having tooth aches, we are both happy for that. :)

We had quite a Sunday of miracles yesterday; even though we weren´t able to visit all of our investigators, we still had quite a few come to church. In this group were E and her 11 year old son, R, and yesterday they came to church for the first time. They came in a little late without us noticing but when the Sacrament ended we got to talk to them and ask them what they thought. We didn´t know but E is friends with one of the members in our ward and got to sit by her during the meeting and loved it. Unfortunately R, S, and A weren´t able to come this Sunday, but we´re going to see what we can do about that this week.

Another blessing this week was that we had our interviews with President Castillo. I always learn a lot from our interviews and come out feeling the Spirit. He also taught Hermana Henry and I some new Dominican phrases and one of my favorites was ¨ponte las pilas¨ which means ¨put in the batteries¨ or have more energy. We have cleaning inspections for our apartment this week so we decided to ¨ponte las pilas¨ in our cleaning habits and having been cleaning like crazy. I´ll let you know how it goes next week.

Thank you for writing and for all you guys do! Les quiero muchisimo y espero que tengan una semana stupenda!
