Training and Seven Months

Hey family!

This week has been a crazy, but good week. Hermana Neil left on Wednesday morning for her new area and we were both sad to part ways, but I got to meet my daughter of the mission and she is very cool. Her name is Hermana Henry, and she is from Jamaica. She can be a little sassy but loves to talk and sing and already understands a lot of the Spanish. She also likes to experiment when she cooks, so we get along just. :) She hasn't studied Spanish before, but knows a lot from the MTC and understands a lot more than I did when I first came.

Training has been a new, and a little stressful, experience, but so far I have loved it. My companion knows a lot and more than anything I've realized I'm just here to help her reach her potencial and try to be a good example. I don't always know what I'm doing, but I don't think anyone really does when they start training a new missionary. We get along welland  I think we'll have a lot of fun this transfer.

Right now we are teaching a lot of couples and I think it is always really fun to teach families. Sometimes it can be hard because a lot of people here don't want to get married, but they have a lot of potencial. We are also wokring a lot with the members which is really exciting, but also makes lessons exciting because we don't always know where they are going to go. It is fun to see how well the members connect with the investigators. Our convert, J, is doing really well and is already a misionary. She has been sharing the gospel with her neighbors and friends and gave us the reference for her family, She is amazing.

I realized that yesterday I hit 7 months in the mission and I can't believe how fast it has gone. I have loved being a missionary and can't wait to see what this new week brings. I am also so excited for Eli and Shih-Ping to find out if their baby is going to be a boy or girl! I guess I'll just have to wait until next week. Also, congrats to Sam for getting into University of Washington. I hope that you've all had a great week and that you have a fantastic week this next week. I can't upload any pictures right now, but I'll try to send some next week. I lvoe you all!
